at sagius, we can tell when >bad< squishies camping their staff have around 500 hp when a warrior's solo spike takes away almost all of their health.

most spikes are around 550 damage (after DW)
have a few extra points just in case you are down a few
note: never run sups unless it makes your bsurge or something last a second longer (it doesnt)
question: is it better to bring blessed insignias on an moi? im stripped most of the time anyway

It's okay to have less than 600 (within the 530-590 range) if you have significantly higher armor levels (+10-+25 above your class's default AL). This means using armor insignias instead of health insignias.
If you're using Survivor's Insignias, you should have above 600 health.

Depends on the arena and the specific bar you're running. If it's RA and you're running MoI + Water attune I would say no to bless. If you're running MoI + Aura of Resto then I would say yes. In GvG you should pretty much always run bless insignias. Either you'll be at stand where you'll be protted when spiked or you'll be countering split (where there won't be strips and if there are you'll probably have a flagger with you).

I believe the original reason was because of the synergy of Protective Spirit (max 10% of health) and Spirit Bond (triggered on damage over 60) when spikes were capable of dealing 1,000+.

Spirit bond triggers before Prot spirit anyways, so that hardly matters.
~600 is just the norm for what you end up with when using no major/superior runes.

ohhh? late reply, but simply because
#1, you're an easy target to spike
#2, you're hard to heal up due to your small health pool you die faster
#3, when you accumulate DP you will die in about 2 hits
To increase your health pool use
survivors, vitaes, vigor
Survivors are questionable though because there are better insignias for armor which
help you take a lot less damage, but survivors are usually better against a pressure related team.
To increase your armor weapon +5, shield with +10's of every set. Your armor insignias... etc.

Weapon mod +5 is more questionable than survivor insigs, though. You give up 40 health for 10(usually) more armor on insignias while you give up 30 health for mere 5 armor on your weapon.

However you have 4 weapon sets and are allowed to switch those unlike armor. If you don't have room for your +30 simply switch to it by leaving your back pack open.

Yeah, it's so hard to bring up your inventory and switch to a health weapon instead if degen is the bigger issue, or if you simply need any health you can get in case of extreme emergency.

Yeah, I was wrong to point that out guys. Most people I know swap their martial weapon when their health gets low. I'm sure the OP will too. Pretend I never brought it up.

Well if the OP doesn't then he might as well learn here.
